A baby boy is born by emergency C Section performed by two female doctors at Anabah Emergency Maternity Hospital in the Panjshir Valley. One of Afghanistan's few units devoted to maternal and neo-natal healthcare, most of the doctors, midwives and nurses are women from Afghanistan (many trained at the hospital over the course of its 15 year existence). The hospital is also a certified training facility for Afghan student doctors specialising in gynaecology and obstetrics.
